Practice Highlights

  • Part-time position with a rotating shift schedule across the Diagnostic Imaging Department
  • Multi-modality scope: general diagnostic radiography, CT scanning, and/or mammographic procedures — certification in at least two of the three modalities required
  • Performs routine and specialized imaging exams across all patient age groups, from neonates through geriatric populations
  • Assists physicians with interventional procedures and contrast media administration
  • Applies ionizing radiation for a broad range of radiological diagnostic procedures; responsible for patient care safety and radiation safety compliance
  • Operates diagnostic imaging equipment including table controls, control panels, and archiving systems
  • Assumes supervisory responsibility for Rad Tech II technologists and other staff when designated or in the absence of supervisory/management personnel
  • Participates in orientation and training of Radiology Department staff
  • 123-bed acute care hospital with service lines including award-winning heart care, joint and spine surgery, advanced minimally invasive surgical treatments, robotic surgery, and a Level II Special Care Nursery
  • Works collaboratively with the full interdisciplinary care team to maintain professional diagnostic imaging standards

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program
  • Minimum two years of recent acute care hospital experience in multiple imaging modalities preferred
  • Certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required
  • Current Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license issued by the California Department of Public Health required
  • Current CT certification required where applicable to assigned modalities
  • Current Fluoroscopy Permit issued by the California Department of Public Health required (or obtainable within 6 months of hire or transfer)
  • Venipuncture certification required where applicable
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers issued by the American Heart Association required and must be maintained throughout employment
