Practice Highlights
- Full-time, day-shift schedule at a 394-bed general acute care hospital with an additional 67-bed inpatient psychiatric unit
- Call rotation required — position carries on-call responsibility in addition to scheduled day shifts
- Primary focus on Interventional Radiology with required competency in conventional radiography and working knowledge in at least one additional modality (CT, MRI, or IR)
- Operates all X-ray equipment and PACS; responsible for exam room preparation, equipment setup, supply and medication preparation, and patient education
- Provides radiological care to patients of all ages for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes using ionizing radiation
- Reports to the Director of Imaging Services

Qualifications
- Current California State Radiologic Technology license issued by the Radiological Health Section, Department of Health
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- Current Fluoroscopy permit required; if not held at time of hire, must be obtained within six (6) months of employment — failure to obtain within that window results in termination
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
- Minimum one year of experience in at least one additional modality (CT, MRI, or Interventional Radiology) preferred
- Working knowledge of conventional radiography required; demonstrated competency in IR procedures expected
- Physical requirements: frequent standing and walking; ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs; patient transfer capability; manual dexterity; visual and auditory acuity; ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
