<p>Doctors Medical Center of Modesto — the largest full-service acute care hospital between Stockton and Fresno — is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse for a per diem, day-shift position in Modesto, California. This role places you at the center of a high-acuity interventional cardiology program, assisting physicians through the full spectrum of coronary and peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures. With 394 acute care beds, a 67-bed inpatient psychiatric unit, and a broad referral catchment spanning the Central Valley and Sierra foothills, DMC offers a clinically rich environment for an RN who wants meaningful procedural volume and a collaborative team.</p>

<h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Procedural scope includes coronary and peripheral diagnostic angiograms, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), and percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA)</li> <li>RN responsibilities span pre-procedure assessment, intra-procedure hemodynamic monitoring per department protocols, and post-procedure evaluation and documentation</li> <li>Emergency procedural duties include CPR, assistance with temporary pacemaker placement, and aortic balloon pump insertion</li> <li>Medication administration and documentation throughout all procedure phases, including adverse reaction monitoring</li> <li>Patient population spans adolescent (13–17), adult (18–70), and geriatric (71+) age groups, with age-specific and culturally sensitive care modifications</li> <li>Patient and family education provided prior to discharge</li> <li>On-call and weekend coverage required as needed</li> <li>394-bed general acute care hospital with a 67-bed inpatient psychiatric unit — the largest full-care facility in the region between Stockton and Fresno</li> <li>Comprehensive service lines on campus: cardiology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, emergency and trauma, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, women's and children's services, oncology, behavioral health, and critical/intensive care</li> </ul>

<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license required</li> <li>BLS and ACLS certification required</li> <li>Minimum 2 years of cardiac catheterization lab experience preferred; 3 years preferred for full qualification</li> <li>CCRN or RCIS certification preferred</li> <li>Demonstrated clinical expertise in Cath Lab procedures, hemodynamic monitoring, and physiologic data collection and processing</li> <li>Ability to fulfill on-call and weekend requirements as needed</li> </ul>
