About the Community

El Paso is consistently ranked among the safest large cities in the United States — a major metro that delivers urban amenities alongside genuine affordability and community warmth. Texas has no state income tax, and El Paso's cost of living sits well below the national average, making compensation go meaningfully further here than in comparable markets. The city offers more than 300 days of sunshine annually, direct access to Franklin Mountains State Park for hiking and outdoor recreation, and Big Bend National Park just a few hours south; the rich border culture brings world-class Tex-Mex cuisine, vibrant festivals, and deep historical character to everyday life. Families benefit from Division I universities, strong private colleges, and a robust K–12 educational landscape — a well-rounded setting for physicians building a long-term career and life in the Southwest.
