Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of a formal Sterile Processing Technician training course with field training, OR a minimum of one year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician or Operating Technician
- Preferred: one year of sterile processing experience combined with completion of a formal sterile processing course
- Certification through IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materials Management) or CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution) required within one year of hire
- Current IAHCSMM or CBSPD certification preferred at time of application
