A full-time Physician Assistant opportunity is available with an established General Surgery team in Mansfield, TX, part of a premier multi-specialty physician organization affiliated with a major North Texas health system. The PA will work collaboratively with surgeons and a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality inpatient and outpatient surgical care across a well-resourced network of acute-care hospitals and ambulatory clinics.

Practice Highlights

  • Collaborative practice alongside a general surgery team within a large, multi-specialty physician organization
  • Inpatient responsibilities include rounding, progress notes, and discharge planning
  • Outpatient responsibilities include pre-operative evaluations, post-operative follow-ups, and minor procedures
  • First-assist duties in the operating room
  • Comprehensive patient assessments, history-taking, and physical examinations
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging studies
  • Prescribing medications and treatments in accordance with Texas state licensure and hospital policies

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • National board certification through NCCPA required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of PA experience required
  • Surgical or acute care experience preferred
  • Unrestricted Texas Medical License and DEA registration required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
