Florida Coast Medical Center — a brand-new acute care hospital opening in Port Saint Lucie, Florida in September 2025 — is recruiting a full-time Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join its surgical services team at launch. This is a rare ground-floor opportunity to help build a high-acuity surgical program from day one, with a primary focus on musculoskeletal cases and a service line portfolio that spans orthopedic and spine surgery, neurosciences, cardiac and vascular surgery, cancer care, and urology. Practice Highlights

- Primary case focus on musculoskeletal surgical procedures, with daily involvement across all ortho and related cases
- Responsibilities extend to post-operative follow-up functions and participation in patient care conferences tied to surgical cases
- Active role in identifying and meeting physician needs, equipment and supply readiness, and OR instrumentation management
- Scheduled case review and coordination across the full surgical services department

Qualifications
- Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), or Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) through the National Center of Competency Testing (NCCT)
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience in a surgical specialty
- High school diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
- Demonstrated competency in musculoskeletal surgical case management, including instrumentation, supply coordination, and sterile field maintenance
