- Supervisor functions across multiple clinical roles as needed — direct care nurse, charge nurse, and unit leader
- Responsible for staffing balance, skill mix optimization, and new hire scheduling with assigned preceptors during orientation
- Conducts 30/60/90-day evaluations for new staff; leads weekly rounding and scouting reports
- Oversees PYXIS medication management reporting, unit environmental rounds, and clean sweep/unit-based audits
- Ensures regulatory readiness and disease-specific certification audit preparedness
- Collaborates directly with physicians, clinical educators, and nursing management to drive quality and performance improvement initiatives
- Maintains PHI security standards and leads infection prevention compliance across the unit

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas required
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
- Basic EKG course completion required within one year of hire
- Demonstrated ability to lead frontline nursing staff, manage staffing logistics, and address performance issues
- Strong clinical judgment in Med-Surg and telemetry settings; comfort serving in direct care and charge nurse roles as needed
- Effective written and verbal communication in English required; additional language proficiency preferred
- Basic computer proficiency required
