St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida is recruiting an experienced perioperative registered nurse leader for the role of Assistant Nursing Manager (ANM) in the Operating Room. This is a full-time, day-shift leadership position spanning all of surgical services — OR, PACU, and Sterile Processing (SPD) — at a 420-bed Level 1 Trauma Center that is also home to the only dedicated children's hospital between Fort Lauderdale and Orlando. Practice Highlights

  • Full-time, day-shift schedule with leadership accountability across all surgical services: OR, PACU, and Sterile Processing Department (SPD)
  • Coordinates clinical activities and directs case flow across the entire perioperative continuum; collaborates directly with the house supervisor
  • Provides leadership coverage on off-shifts and fills in during manager absences, both administratively and at the bedside as needed
  • Directly and indirectly supervises ancillary staff; serves as a resource instructor for unit-specific competency assessment
  • Leads unit-based performance improvement initiatives: implements, collects, and measures PI data; conducts nursing documentation accuracy reviews
  • Facilitates patient safety goals and assists with developing and delivering educational in-services across all surgical services areas
  • Assists with staff scheduling and serves as a clinical role model supporting evidence-based practice
  • 420-bed acute care hospital serving Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast for more than 80 years
  • Designated Level 1 Trauma Center and state-designated Pediatric Trauma Referral Center

Qualifications

  • Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience, preferably in an OR, PACU, outpatient, or ambulatory surgical setting
  • Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • BLS/CPR certification through the American Heart Association required at time of hire
  • ACLS and PALS certifications required at hire or must be obtained within 90 days of start date
