Carondelet St. Mary's Hospital — Southern Arizona's longest continually operating hospital, founded in 1880 — is recruiting a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist to join its nationally recognized Carondelet Heart & Vascular Institute in Tucson, AZ. This role places you at the center of a high-acuity cardiovascular program distinguished for minimally invasive heart and vascular surgery, advanced stroke care, and full STEMI response capability. You will scrub, monitor, and circulate across the full spectrum of invasive cardiac and interventional vascular procedures alongside a collaborative, physician-led team.

Practice Highlights
- Home to the Carondelet Heart & Vascular Institute — a regional destination program for minimally invasive heart and vascular surgery
- Full-scope Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Vascular Radiology (IVR) environment covering both invasive/surgical and interventional procedures
- Active STEMI program with technologist participation on all cardiac alerts and STEMI activations
- Procedural scope includes coronary angiography, abdominal aortography, runoff studies, peripheral interventions, and image acquisition, storage, and printing
- Technologist responsibilities span scrub, monitor, and circulator roles across all invasive procedures
- IABP setup and monitoring; assistance with temporary and permanent pacemaker insertion and care
- Advanced stroke care, emergency care, wound care, and bariatric surgery services on the same campus — broad interdisciplinary collaboration
- Pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient assessment with direct communication to nursing and physician staff
- Inventory control responsibilities integrated into the technologist role

Qualifications
- Minimum: Associate's Degree in Radiology or equivalent field; completion of a Basic EKG course
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Radiology or equivalent
- Minimum experience: 6 months in a Cath Lab or Cardiac Intervention Lab setting
- Preferred experience: 1 year providing cardiac catheterization and radiology care
- Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); ACLS required within 6 months of hire
- Preferred certification: RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
- Ability to function independently on cardiac alert and STEMI cases
