Practice Highlights

  • Responsible for telemetry setup per physician orders, including proper electrode placement, running rhythm strips, and battery replacement
  • Continuous cardiac monitoring role embedded within an inpatient nursing unit
  • General clerical and unit coordination duties: preparing, compiling, and maintaining medical records and chart files
  • Answers unit telephone, records and relays messages to clinical staff
  • Prepares routine, confidential, and special reports, documents, and records as directed
  • Assists with unit-level quality improvement activities

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Successful completion of an EKG course required
  • Familiarity with medical terminology required
  • Demonstrated computer experience required
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Must meet applicable federal, state, or local vaccination requirements or obtain an approved religious or medical exemption prior to start date; unvaccinated employees with approved exemptions are subject to regular testing per applicable law
