Carondelet St. Mary's Hospital — Southern Arizona's longest continually operating hospital, founded in 1880 and a recognized regional destination for cardiac, vascular, stroke, and emergency care — is recruiting a Radiologic Technologist to join its imaging team in Tucson, AZ. This role offers hands-on work with advanced imaging technology in a full-service acute care environment, including dedicated OR/C-arm responsibilities and PACS-integrated workflow. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is available for eligible candidates.

Practice Highlights

  • Based at Carondelet St. Mary's Hospital — a regional destination medical center and home to the Carondelet Heart & Vascular Institute, with recognized programs in minimally invasive heart and vascular surgery, advanced stroke care, emergency care, wound care, and bariatric surgery
  • Full diagnostic radiography scope: patient positioning, exposure factor selection, and production of quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation
  • Contrast media preparation and administration within applicable state and federal scope-of-practice regulations
  • Operating room assignment: full C-arm operation and manipulation, sterile technique, positioning to surgeon specifications, troubleshooting equipment errors, film printing, and patient dose documentation
  • PACS-integrated imaging workflow — archives images from C-arm directly to PACS; inputs and processes requisitions via electronic health record system
  • Oxygen therapy management: mask and nasal cannula use, O2 flow adjustment per physician orders, e-cylinder transport and exchange
  • Dual-identifier patient verification protocol prior to all injections and exam initiation
  • Protocol monitoring with responsibility to recommend updates or refinements as clinical needs evolve
  • Collaborative, multidisciplinary environment with circulating RN support in the OR setting

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an ARRT-accredited radiologic technology program
  • ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists — Radiography) certification required
  • Arizona Medical Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (MRTBE) Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) licensure required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required
  • Clinical experience acquired through accredited radiology program and student clinical training accepted
  • Comfort with OR/C-arm operation, sterile technique, and PACS archiving expected
