<p>Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, California is recruiting a full-time Surgical Technologist for a weekend night shift in its busy operating room. This Level 1 Trauma Center is the flagship hospital of a three-facility regional network serving the Coachella Valley and Morongo Basin, offering a high-acuity surgical environment with advanced specialty services and a collaborative OR team. <h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Full-time, weekend night shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM</li> <li>Call requirement of 4–6 times per month in addition to scheduled shifts</li> <li>Level 1 Trauma Center with high-acuity surgical volume across multiple specialties</li> <li>Part of Desert Care Network — a three-hospital system including Desert Regional Medical Center (Palm Springs), JFK Memorial Hospital (Indio), and Hi-Desert Medical Center (Joshua Tree)</li> <li>Network services include comprehensive stroke care, a dedicated cancer center, and the only Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the Coachella Valley</li> <li>Scrub role working directly with surgeons across a broad range of surgical procedures, with responsibility for sterile field maintenance, instrument passing, and accurate sponge, sharp, and instrument counts</li> <li>Collaborative environment with direct supervision by Registered Nurses and close integration with the broader OR team</li> <li>Participation in preference card maintenance, room preparation, sterilization and disinfection processes, and specialty instrumentation care</li> </ul>

<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required; equivalent years of experience or higher education accepted in lieu</li> <li>Completion of a formal OR technologist training program required</li> <li>Current American Heart Association BLS certification required and must be maintained at all times</li> <li>Certification as an Operating Room Technician (CST or equivalent) preferred</li> <li>Minimum one year of operating room experience preferred</li> </ul>
