Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Current AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
  • Current AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification required
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required within 6 months of hire
  • Proficiency in EKG interpretation required
  • In-depth clinical knowledge of emergency nursing best practices, regulatory standards, and evidence-based guidelines
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written); additional language proficiency preferred
  • Basic computer proficiency required
