Practice Highlights
- Performs basic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures under minimal supervision, with physician-directed orders
- Produces high-quality diagnostic radiographs across a broad procedural scope
- Rotates through advanced diagnostic radiology areas: operating room (OR), urography, open reductions, myelography, arthrography, line and tube placements, and trauma
- Provides direct practitioner assistance during fluoroscopy, arthrography, OR procedures, and trauma activations
- Exercises independent professional judgment in applying x-ray energy for diagnosis and treatment support
- Patient population spans all age groups — newborn through elderly — requiring adaptability in technique and patient management
- Structured competency milestones completed within a defined introductory period, supporting onboarding and skill validation
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology / Imaging program (required); Associate degree preferred
- ARRT certification (required) or registry eligibility — candidates must obtain ARRT within one year of graduation
- Current BLS certification required
- State licensure required if mandated by Texas law
- 1–3 years of clinical experience preferred; new graduates meeting certification requirements are encouraged to apply
