Practice Highlights
- Recovery (PACU) nursing role providing direct post-anesthesia patient care within an established acute care hospital system
- Full nursing process accountability: assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation on a per-shift and unit level
- Responsible for safe, timely medication administration in accordance with hospital policy
- Supervises and delegates care to appropriate support staff; accountable to CNO for quality, safety, and resource management
- Practices within established standards of safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control
- Participates in Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities during emergencies and disaster activations

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required); Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred
- Current, active Texas RN license or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state of practice
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; AHA ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP required as applicable per unit policy
- Recent acute care experience preferred; PACU or perioperative nursing background a strong asset
- Demonstrated competency in nursing process coordination, patient care delegation, and clinical supervision
- Familiarity with emergency code protocols and HICS responsibilities in an acute care setting
