Practice Highlights
- Per diem, rotating schedule within the Central Sterile Processing Department of a newly opening acute care hospital (September 2025 launch)
- Full reprocessing responsibility for sterile and non-sterile materials, instruments, and equipment serving surgical suites and all hospital units
- Manual cleaning and decontamination duties alongside operation of mechanical washers and sonic cleaning units
- Autoclave efficiency testing and maintenance of compliant sterilization records
- Active participation in the instrument recall process as needed
- Mentorship and training role: certified technicians assist in educating new hires on quality assurance, performance improvement, and departmental compliance standards
- Surgical service lines supported include: general and premier surgical care, neurosciences, orthopedic and spine surgery, cardiac catheterization and heart care, vascular surgery, cancer care, and urology

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 6 months of experience as a CS/SPD Technician or in a directly relevant role
- Active CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution) or IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management) certification required — must be current and maintained
- No additional state licensure specified beyond certification requirements
