- Provides direct patient care in accordance with departmental standards while overseeing appropriateness and effectiveness of care delivery
- Manages day-to-day unit staffing: assignments, delegation, and supervision of RNs, LPNs, and CNAs matched to patient acuity and caregiver competency
- Coordinates unit scheduling activities including breaks, census management, and daily workflow decisions
- Serves as liaison to internal and external stakeholders including pre-hospital providers, medical and nursing staff, and hospital administration
- Leads orientation and onboarding for new team members in collaboration with nursing management; oversees completion of orientation competency checklists and annual competency validation for all staff
- Develops and implements plans and processes to meet regulatory requirements
- Tracks customer service performance metrics and takes corrective action as needed

Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Arizona required
- Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school required; BSN preferred
- Minimum two years of relevant clinical nursing experience required
- Two years of supervisory or management experience preferred
- Certification in cardiac specialty area of practice preferred
- Current CPR required; ACLS required upon completion of orientation (per department requirement for Cardiac/Telemetry/Cardiac Cath Lab units)
- Demonstrated ability to make independent clinical decisions in high-acuity, high-stress situations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to lead change and assist with departmental budget management
