- Accountable for monitoring daily operational activity and producing performance and metric reports, including financial clearance reports
- Participates in short- and long-range planning recommendations across all registration process areas
- Enforces departmental policies, procedures, and work rules; assists in developing and implementing new policies aligned with hospital and corporate guidelines
- Serves as an active member of the management team to ensure all operational goals are met
- On-call availability required as departmental and system demands dictate
- Hospital-based work environment; must be able to work flexible hours and days based on operational need
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; 2- or 4-year college degree in Business, Accounting, Medical Administration, or a related field strongly preferred
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or closely related environment
- 5 or more years of Patient Access experience preferred
- 2 or more years in a supervisory or lead role preferred
- Thorough knowledge of healthcare information systems and computer applications
- Clear working understanding of Revenue Cycle Management principles and applicable regulatory agency requirements
- Demonstrated leadership ability with strong interpersonal, organizational, and written/oral communication skills
- Must obtain and provide confirmation of all required vaccinations and screenings prior to start of employment, including COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations, as applicable and permitted by law
