This is a Radiology Technologist contract opportunity at the Detroit Medical Center campus in Detroit, Michigan — one of the region's most prominent academic and acute care health systems, spanning four major hospital facilities. Positions are available immediately as 13-week travel or local contracts through an in-house contingent staffing pool, meaning you work directly as a W-2 employee with the health system rather than through a third-party agency. Multiple shift options and weekly pay make this an attractive assignment for techs seeking stability and preferred contract access in a high-acuity urban environment.

Perks and Benefits

  • Weekly pay cycle — direct W-2 employment with the health system, not a staffing agency
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • Preferred booking agreement available for local contract employees, providing enhanced contract security and priority placement
  • Referral bonus program available to active pool employees
  • Travel contract and local contract options — choose the engagement model that fits your situation
  • Immediate start available (ASAP)

Practice Highlights

  • 13-week contract duration; ASAP start date
  • 36- or 40-hour weekly schedules available — flexibility to select your preferred hours
  • AM, Mid, and PM shifts all available — day, evening, and overnight coverage options
  • Travel contract and local contract formats offered; PRN is not available for this assignment
  • Assignment spans the Detroit Medical Center system, with placement across four major facilities: Sinai-Grace Hospital, Detroit Receiving Hospital, Harper University Hospital, and the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan (RIM)
  • Detroit Medical Center is a large urban academic health system serving a broad and high-acuity patient population across metro Detroit, with significant trauma, medical, surgical, and rehabilitation volume
  • Exposure to diverse imaging caseloads across acute care, trauma, and rehabilitation settings within a single health system

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of acute care experience required
  • Minimum one year of current, recent experience as a Radiology Technologist
  • Active BLS certification required
  • Additional credentialing requirements apply and will be specified during the onboarding process

About the Community

Detroit is a major Midwestern city undergoing sustained revitalization, offering a rich cultural landscape that includes world-class museums, a thriving food and arts scene, professional sports franchises, and a deep musical heritage. The metro area provides affordable housing relative to comparable urban markets, with easy access to the Great Lakes waterfront, extensive park systems, and the international border with Windsor, Ontario. Clinicians relocating to Detroit benefit from a cost of living well below the national average for a city of its size, along with strong neighborhood communities and proximity to the broader Michigan outdoor recreation corridor.
