Practice Highlights
- Full-time, 12-hour day shifts (7:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m.) at Hi-Desert Medical Center, Joshua Tree, CA
- Multi-modality scope: general diagnostic radiography, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, and DEXA scanning
- Services extend across inpatient, outpatient, emergency department, hospital operating suites, and the continuing care center (CCC)
- Patient population spans all age groups — neonatal through geriatric — including pediatric and general adult populations
- Rotational standby call at least once per week, scheduled by department need
- PACS-integrated workflow with full RIS and EHR documentation requirements; timely image presentation to radiologists is a core function
- Works under supervision of the Radiologist and Department Management Team; participates in student and ancillary personnel training
- Active participation in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities
- Part of Desert Care Network — a regional system encompassing Desert Regional Medical Center (Palm Springs), JFK Memorial Hospital (Indio), and Hi-Desert Medical Center (Joshua Tree), with comprehensive stroke care, a cancer center, a Level 1 Trauma Center, and the only Level 3 NICU in the Coachella Valley
- Joint Commission, federal, state, and local regulatory compliance standards maintained throughout
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program (college-affiliated or hospital-based)
- Current California CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist) certification required
- Current California Fluoroscopy license required
- Current ARRT R.T.(R) certification required; ARRT certification in CT and/or MRI strongly preferred
- Minimum three (3) years of continuous experience as a Radiologic Technologist required; three or more years of continuous CT and/or MRI experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience performing CT and/or MRI exams required; DEXA scan competency preferred
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification required
- Proficiency with RIS, EHR, and PACS systems; basic computer skills required
