Practice Highlights
- Full-time, day-shift schedule in the Catheterization Laboratory at Sierra Campus
- Direct clinical patient care role with responsibility for assessment, planning, and implementation of nursing care on a per-shift basis
- Accountable for supervision of staff to whom appropriate care is delegated
- Practice governed by established standards of safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control protocols
- Medication administration responsibilities per hospital policy, with emphasis on safety and timeliness
- Active role in Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities during emergency and disaster situations
- Part of a five-hospital regional system including a dedicated children's hospital, with a broad referral catchment across the El Paso region

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred
- Active Texas RN license or eligibility to obtain required
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; AHA ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP required as applicable per unit policy
- Minimum one year of RN experience required for PRN status; recent acute care experience preferred
- Demonstrated competency in nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and coordination of patient care within a prescribed medical regimen
