About the Community

Nacogdoches is one of the oldest towns in Texas, situated in the Piney Woods of East Texas roughly 140 miles northeast of Houston and 75 miles west of the Louisiana border. The area offers a low cost of living, a tight-knit community atmosphere, and the natural beauty of East Texas forests, lakes, and trails — well suited to clinicians who value outdoor recreation and a slower pace outside a major metro. Stephen F. Austin State University anchors the local cultural and educational scene, and the broader region provides easy access to larger urban centers for weekend travel.
