<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred</li> <li>0–1 year of customer service experience; 0–1 year of administrative experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or related field preferred</li> <li>Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute</li> <li>Demonstrated proficiency with PC, CRT terminal, and printer operation</li> <li>Working knowledge of hospital environment functions and departmental relationships preferred</li> <li>Familiarity with third-party payor requirements and healthcare compliance standards preferred</li> <li>Ability to interpret physician orders, medical terminology, and insurance cards accurately</li> <li>Proficient oral and written communication skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment</li> <li>Must be able to perform essential duties across at least two Patient Access service areas, including the Emergency Department</li> <li>Compliance with all required pre-employment vaccinations and screenings, including COVID-19 and influenza, as applicable and permitted by law</li> </ul>
