  • Full-time days position with continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring responsibilities
  • Responsible for monitoring heart rhythm patterns using telemetry equipment, reviewing patient history to establish baseline rhythms, and identifying abnormal variances
  • Observes cardiac monitors and responds to alarms; communicates rhythm variances directly to the Assistant Nurse Manager and/or Registered Nurse to initiate patient evaluation

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; nursing assistant coursework required
  • National EKG Certification required for consideration
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required for consideration
  • Successful completion of the Good Samaritan Medical Center EKG competency test required
  • Minimum of 1 year of monitor technician experience required
