Practice Highlights
- Serves as the facility-level EMR subject matter expert, with direct participation in design, build, and testing of clinical application changes
- Conducts regular hospital rounding to deliver real-time informatics service and support to physicians and bedside clinicians
- Communicates EMR updates and changes directly to physicians; customizes content to align with clinical workflow needs
- Educates nursing staff and department leaders on EMR changes and new clinical application functionality
- Aligns with Information Systems (IS) and clinical operations leadership to operationalize workflow improvements tied to EMR optimization
- Collaborates with the Market CDL, Market Physician Informatics Director (MDI), and Market Nursing Informatics Director (MSDL) to drive adoption of clinical applications and meet clinical and IS performance metrics
- Accountable for supervising and directing the performance of the Market EMR Coach
- Partners with the MDI to improve physician and clinician satisfaction with the EMR, champion "voice of the customer" feedback loops, and enhance IS service delivery
- Leverages data and reporting tools to track adoption metrics and identify optimization opportunities across the market
- Operationalizes informatics changes that support institutional policy, procedure, and clinical standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license — required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — required; exceptions to education requirements may be approved by the Regional Clinical Informatics Director
- Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2 years in clinical informatics — required
- Certification in Nursing Informatics through ANCC — preferred
- Demonstrated ability to integrate technology into clinical practice with a thorough understanding of clinical workflow
- Proven ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with multidisciplinary leaders and resolve conflict effectively
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Models credibility, professionalism, and a high standard of customer service in all interactions
