Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Active Texas State Registered Nurse license required at time of hire
- Active Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) — ARC or AHA — required on hire; AHA Healthcare Provider BLS required within 60 days if not already AHA-credentialed
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 60 days of hire or transfer for PCU/telemetry and critical care units; completion before end of orientation period is strongly preferred
- No minimum experience required; two or more years in acute care preferred, with prior med/surg, telemetry, or ICU experience considered a strong asset
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize rapidly changing clinical information and take decisive, patient-focused action in a resource-intensive environment
