Practice Highlights
- Emergency Department Behavioral Health unit within a 288-bed acute care hospital serving York County and the surrounding region
- Full-spectrum ED environment with behavioral health focus — requires competency in both acute medical and psychiatric/psychosocial patient assessment
- Ongoing nursing assessment, documentation, and care planning with integration of physician and psychosocial input
- Medication administration and IV therapy management, including first-dose monitoring for adverse reactions and full medication reconciliation
- Verification and coordination of orders, diagnostic scheduling, pre-operative data, and consent documentation throughout the patient stay
- Age-specific competency required across the full population of patients served in the ED behavioral health setting

Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required; previous clinical experience reviewed individually for acceptability
- Valid permanent Multi-State RN License from state of residence required; candidates holding a compact-state license from another state must obtain a Multi-State RN License from their state of residence within 30 days of hire
- American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification required — must be obtained within 7 days of hire
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), ACLS, and PALS certifications required — must be completed within the orientation period
- Psychiatric or mental health nursing experience preferred
- RN-C (Certified Registered Nurse) designation preferred
