Practice Highlights
- Dialysis unit nursing role at a full-service acute care hospital with a broad inpatient and specialty referral base

- Primary care coordination role — serves as the central coordinator across all disciplines for each assigned patient
- Full nursing process scope: systematic assessment (physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors), problem identification, care planning, implementation, and ongoing evaluation
- Responsibilities include initial, re-assessment, and focused assessments; daily goal-setting with patients and families; formulating and maintaining individualized care plans; medication administration; ordered treatment provision; patient and family education; and thorough documentation in the healthcare record
- Discharge and transition planning coordinated with the full interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Delegation, supervision, and prioritization of care within the nursing team
- Hospital is home to the Carondelet Heart & Vascular Institute — a nationally recognized center for minimally invasive heart and vascular surgery — providing a high-acuity referral environment for dialysis nursing

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Active, valid Arizona RN license required — or a compact state license with the ability to obtain Arizona licensure within 30 days of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) — American Heart Association — preferred
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or other department-specific certifications preferred as applicable
