Practice Highlights
- Supervisory leadership role within the Emergency Department of a 288-bed acute care hospital
- Shift-level accountability for all aspects of patient care, staffing, fiscal responsibility, and unit strategic goals — in direct collaboration with the department Director

- Leads ongoing unit-based quality monitoring, including development and implementation of performance improvement monitors and reports
- Supports staff growth through continuous assessment of educational needs and active bedside teaching when opportunities arise
- Delegates shift duties including chart checks, defibrillator and refrigerator logs, abnormal lab follow-up and documentation, room cleaning and stocking, outdated supply checks, and trash and linen management
- Facility services include preventive care, advanced heart and stroke care, maternity care, and a Level III NICU

Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing required
- Valid permanent Multi-State RN license from state of residence required; candidates holding a compact-state RN license from another state must obtain a Multi-State RN license from their state of residence within 30 days of hire
- American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification required; must be obtained within 7 days of hire
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required within orientation period
- Additional unit-specific certifications as determined by the department, required within orientation period
- 2–3 years of acute care or comparable clinical experience with demonstrated leadership ability preferred
