This is a full-service echo tech role performing the complete range of cardiac ultrasound studies in a high-acuity, award-winning cardiac program with more than 125 years of community presence in central Massachusetts. <h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Performs transthoracic echocardiograms following departmental protocol for image acquisition, measurement, calculation, and documentation for physician interpretation</li> <li>Assists with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) and stress echocardiography, providing diagnostic-quality images</li> <li>Obtains 12-lead EKGs with correct lead placement, minimal artifact, and accurate patient identification</li> <li>Sets up and scans Holter monitors; generates tracings to support physician diagnosis</li> <li>Prioritizes study completion based on patient acuity, patient preference, and coordination with nursing and ancillary services</li> <li>Communicates changes in patient clinical condition to physicians, managers, and care team members in real time</li> <li>Supports all facilities within the regional market as needed — broad multi-site exposure</li> <li>Blue Distinction Center designations for Cardiac Services, Bariatric Surgery, and Knee and Hip Replacement</li> <li>Home to CyberKnife Radiosurgery and a specialized Cardiac Rehabilitation Program</li> <li>First hospital in central Massachusetts to offer robotically assisted surgery and minimally invasive computer-assisted joint replacement</li> </ul>

<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited diagnostic medical sonography program, or a comparable accredited sonography school — <em>or</em> at least 6 months of clinical echocardiography experience</li> <li>Minimum 6 months of clinical experience required; 2 years preferred</li> <li>Registry eligible required; active RDMS, RDCS, or RCS credential preferred</li> <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required</li> <li>Comfort performing the full cardiac ultrasound scope: transthoracic echo, TEE assist, stress echo, EKG acquisition, and Holter monitor setup and scanning</li> </ul>
