Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Active Texas State Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of hire
- No prior experience required for Med-Surg placement; 2 years of acute care experience preferred
- Active Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire (American Red Cross or AHA accepted); AHA Healthcare Provider BLS must be obtained within 60 days of hire
- For Behavioral Health assignments: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer into the department
- Dialysis track requires a minimum of 1 year acute or chronic dialysis experience; 2 years preferred
