Practice Highlights
- Full-time days schedule — consistent, predictable shift structure with no stated rotating nights
- Performs basic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures under minimal supervision, as ordered by licensed physicians
- Provides direct technical support for interventional radiographic examinations, including patient assessment, imaging equipment operation, and room preparation
- Procedural scope includes fluoroscopy, arthrography, OR procedures, urography, open reductions, myelography, placements, and trauma imaging
- Assists practitioners with fluoroscopy-guided and OR-based interventional cases as well as trauma activations
- Responsible for maintaining imaging equipment, supplies, and medications in the IR suite
- Rotates through advanced diagnostic radiology areas including the OR, trauma bay, and specialty procedure suites
- Produces high-quality diagnostic radiographs across all patient populations as clinically required
- Completes position-specific competencies within the designated introductory period
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program required; Associate degree preferred
- ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT VI (Vascular-Interventional) or CI (Cardiac-Interventional) certification preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- State radiologic technology license required if mandated by South Carolina regulation
- 2–5 years of diagnostic X-ray experience required
- 1–3 years of dedicated IR experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to perform independently across a broad procedural range including trauma, fluoroscopy, and advanced IR support
