Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Active Texas State Registered Nurse license required at time of hire
- No minimum experience required; two years of acute care nursing experience preferred — particularly in med/surg, telemetry, or ICU settings
- Active Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire (American Red Cross or AHA); AHA Healthcare Provider BLS must be obtained within 60 days of hire
- AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into an adult critical care, telemetry, or interim critical care unit — ideally before the end of the orientation period
