Practice Highlights

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required)
- Active Texas State Registered Nurse license (required at time of hire)
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing practice with demonstrated competency in area of expertise
- Prior teaching or staff education experience preferred
- Certificate in a clinical specialty preferred; Certificate in Childbirth Education is a relevant credential for this role
- Certification as a Diabetes Educator by the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (NCBDE) is preferred at hire and required within two years of hire
- Active Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire (ARC or AHA); AHA Healthcare Provider BLS specifically required within 60 days of hire
- Completion of designated introductory-period competencies required within the established timeframe
