St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida is seeking a full-time, day-shift Certified Sterile Processing Technician to join the central sterile/SPD team at a 420-bed Level I Trauma Center and state-designated Pediatric Trauma Referral Center. This is a hands-on, certification-required role at one of Palm Beach County's most comprehensive acute care facilities, supporting high-acuity surgical and hospital-wide instrument reprocessing. The position carries a training and mentorship component, giving experienced techs a pathway to contribute beyond the bench.

Practice Highlights

Qualifications

  • Active CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution) or IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management) certification required; must be current and maintained
  • Minimum 6 months of experience as a CS/SPD Technician or in a directly relevant role
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Demonstrated competency in decontamination, sterilization procedures, and autoclave operation per departmental policy
