Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited and approved Respiratory Care Technician or Therapist program; Associate degree required
- Current Respiratory Therapy licensure through the South Carolina State Board of Medical Examiners
- Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) credential required, verified by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC); Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred
- American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification required; must be obtained within 7 days of hire
- American Heart Association PALS and ACLS certifications required within the orientation period
- NRP certification required for therapists assigned to the NICU
- Two to five years of job-related respiratory therapy experience preferred
