- Handles charge entry, patient balance processing, and daily reconciliation of charges and payments, including cash/payment fund auditing
- Coordinates medical records process, front desk operations, and office supply management
- Operates within a HIPAA-compliant environment with adherence to corporate compliance and privacy standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of a medical office assistant program preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a medical office setting
- Healthcare management or administration certification preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in electronic health record/practice management systems for demographics entry, insurance verification, and charge posting
- Strong working knowledge of front-office workflows: scheduling, referrals, co-pay collection, and daily financial reconciliation
