Practice Highlights
- Direct clinical patient care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), managing patients through the full post-operative recovery continuum
- Responsibility for per-shift assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized nursing care for assigned PACU patients
- Oversight and supervision of staff to whom appropriate care is delegated, with accountability to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)
- Practice governed by established standards of safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control protocols

Qualifications
- Graduate of a state-approved or accredited school of nursing — required
- Current Massachusetts RN licensure (or eligibility to obtain) in compliance with state law and regulation — required
- Current CPR certification — required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) — preferred
- Demonstrated competency in clinical nursing practice with the ability to coordinate and integrate patient care within a prescribed medical regimen
- Familiarity with hospital emergency codes, HICS structure, and associated policies and procedures
