Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts is recruiting an Echocardiography Technologist to join its cardiology services team at a facility recognized by Healthgrades as the #1 hospital for Cardiology in Massachusetts and one of America's 100 Best Hospitals for Coronary Intervention in both 2023 and 2024 — placing it in the top 5% of hospitals nationwide for coronary intervention. This is a full-scope echo tech role performing transthoracic echocardiograms, assisting with TEEs and stress testing, obtaining EKGs, and setting up Holter monitors across facilities in the market. A sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is available for eligible candidates.

Practice Highlights

  • Full echocardiography scope: transthoracic echocardiograms performed per departmental protocol, TEE assistance, and stress echocardiography support
  • EKG acquisition with proper lead placement, artifact minimization, and accurate patient documentation
  • Holter monitor setup and scanning with diagnostic-quality tracings for physician interpretation
  • Calculates, measures, and documents quantitative values on all studies for physician review and interpretation
  • Prioritizes study completion based on patient acuity, patient preference, and coordination with nursing and ancillary services
  • Communicates directly with physicians, managers, and care team members regarding changes in patient clinical condition during procedures
  • Position supports multiple facilities across the market as needed — broad exposure across care settings
  • Blue Distinction Center designations in Cardiac Services, Bariatric Surgery, and Knee and Hip Replacement
  • Home to central Massachusetts's first robotically assisted surgical program and CyberKnife Radiosurgery

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited diagnostic medical sonography program, or a comparable accredited program — OR at least 6 months of clinical echocardiography experience
  • Minimum 6 months of clinical experience required; 2 years preferred
  • Registry eligible required; active BLS certification required
  • RDMS, RDCS, or RCS credential strongly preferred
  • Comfort performing the full echo tech scope: transthoracic studies, TEE assistance, stress testing, EKGs, and Holter monitoring
