Saint Francis Hospital–Bartlett is recruiting an Associate Administrator of Hospital Operations to serve as a senior operational leader at its 196-bed acute care campus in Bartlett, Tennessee — the first full-service healthcare facility in the community, opened in 2004. This is a high-visibility executive role partnering directly with the CEO, CFO, CNO, and Business Development Manager to drive quality, financial performance, and strategic growth across a multi-service-line hospital serving North and Northeast Shelby County. Practice Highlights

  • 196-bed acute care facility with a diverse inpatient service mix: 128 medical/surgical beds, 16 orthopedic/spine beds, 16 ICU beds, 16 progressive care unit (PCU) beds, 10 mother-baby suites, and 10 NICU beds
  • 34-bed, 24-hour emergency department with high-volume throughput oversight as a core operational responsibility
  • 8 surgery suites requiring active OR throughput management and process improvement leadership
  • Dedicated outpatient imaging center on campus
  • Joint Commission–accredited facility with ongoing regulatory compliance and quality initiative accountability
  • Associate Administrator holds direct responsibility for departmental operating budgets, standard operating procedures, hiring and termination decisions, and contract management within assigned scope
  • Role serves as liaison among administrative leadership, medical staff, Board of Directors, and external community stakeholders
  • Active participation in Medical Executive Committee (MEC) and frequent engagement with Chief of Staff to advance quality and service delivery
  • Balanced Scorecard (BSC) metrics and HCAHPS performance are core accountability frameworks for this role
  • Strategic planning responsibilities include both short- and long-term initiatives, business development, and physician recruitment strategy

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of progressively responsible hospital management experience required
  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution required; MBA, MHA, or equivalent graduate degree strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in quantitative and financial analysis applied to hospital operations and strategic planning
  • Proven track record of physician relations — building trust-based, inclusive partnerships with medical staff to advance quality and productivity goals
  • Demonstrated success balancing cost and quality, managing departmental budgets, and leading performance improvement initiatives
  • Ability to function as an effective executive team member alongside CEO, CFO, CNO, and BDM in a complex, multi-service-line acute care environment
  • Working knowledge of federal and state patient care standards including Joint Commission accreditation requirements and HCAHPS metrics
  • High-level complex problem-solving capability in both group and individual leadership contexts
