Practice Highlights
- Laboratory operations span a two-campus health system: Framingham Union Hospital (acute care) and Leonard Morse Hospital (behavioral health specialty center in Natick)
- Responsibilities include venipuncture and phlebotomy, specimen receipt, registration, billing, and distribution
- Performs CLIA-waived point-of-care laboratory testing as requested
- Assists with microbiology specimen processing and plating
- Performs routine technical and clerical functions including specimen registration and billing within the lab information system

Qualifications
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent
- Required: Minimum one year of laboratory experience and/or completion of a formal phlebotomy training program
- Required: Phlebotomy certification where mandated by state law
- Preferred: Completion of a formal phlebotomy training program
- Preferred: Basic laboratory computer and lab information system (LIS) experience in addition to the above
- Preferred: National phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ANP, ASPT, or a comparable credentialing body
