Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred
- South Carolina Paramedic certification required at time of hire
- National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Paramedic certification required within one year of employment
- AHA BLS certification required; must be obtained within 7 days of hire
- AHA ACLS certification required within the orientation period
- PALS or PEPP certification required within the orientation period
- NIMS Incident Command compliance (ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800) required within the orientation period
- Valid driver's license required
- Minimum two years of full-time experience as a 911 EMS provider preferred
