Practice Highlights

  • Field-based paramedic role providing BLS and ALS response throughout York County in accordance with department protocols and York County EMS requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred
  • South Carolina Paramedic certification required at time of hire
  • National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Paramedic certification required within one year of employment
  • AHA BLS certification required; must be obtained within 7 days of hire
  • AHA ACLS certification required within the orientation period
  • PALS or PEPP certification required within the orientation period
  • NIMS Incident Command compliance (ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800) required within the orientation period
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Minimum two years of full-time experience as a 911 EMS provider preferred
