Practice Highlights

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- No prior experience required for Med/Surg placement; 2 years of acute care experience preferred
- Active Texas State Registered Nurse license required at time of hire
- Active Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire (American Red Cross or AHA accepted); AHA Healthcare Provider BLS must be obtained within 60 days of hire
- Competency in patient assessment, care planning, medication calculation and administration, delegation to licensed and unlicensed staff, and discharge planning
