  • Treatment philosophy centered on reconstruction over amputation, limb and joint preservation, and restoration of function — a mission-driven environment
  • Coordinator oversees full daily operations of the physician office: front desk supervision, patient and physician scheduling, appointment confirmation, and supply ordering
  • Responsible for charge entry, patient balance processing, and daily reconciliation of charges and payments — direct involvement in revenue cycle integrity
  • Medical records management including copying, reviewing, and ensuring accuracy of documentation
  • Insurance verification and referral processing for a specialty orthopedic and spine caseload
  • EMR environment utilizing NextGen or Athena (experience with either preferred)

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum five years of experience in a physician practice setting preferred
  • Completion of a Medical Office Assistant program preferred
  • Healthcare management or administration certification preferred
  • EMR/EHR experience required; NextGen or Athena platform experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in a Windows environment with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and internet-based tools required
  • Demonstrated ability to work with flexibility and adaptability in a complex, matrixed healthcare organization
