The Hospitals of Providence – Memorial Campus in El Paso, Texas is recruiting a full-time Charge Nurse (RN) for its Intensive Care Unit, working the night shift. Practice Highlights
- Full-time night shift position in the ICU at a high-acuity acute care campus
- Charge RN role combining direct bedside patient care with unit-level supervisory responsibility each shift
- Accountable for supervision and appropriate delegation of care to unit staff
- Supports the CNO in maintaining high-quality, safe nursing care and clinical staff competency
- Responsible for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process, including assessment, planning, and implementation
- Practice governed by established standards of safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control
- Participates in Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities during emergencies and disaster events
- Part of a five-hospital regional system that includes a dedicated children's hospital, serving generations of El Paso families since 1902
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum one year of RN experience required (for PRN status); recent acute care experience preferred
- Active Texas RN license or eligibility to obtain required
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and/or PALS and/or NRP required as applicable per unit policy
- Must be currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice as required by Texas law and regulation
