About the Community

Tucson is Arizona's second-largest city, situated in the Sonoran Desert at roughly 2,400 feet elevation — a setting that delivers more than 300 days of sunshine annually, dramatic mountain scenery, and year-round outdoor recreation including hiking, cycling, and climbing in Saguaro National Park and the Santa Catalina Mountains. The city offers a low cost of living relative to Phoenix and most coastal metros, a vibrant arts and food scene shaped by its proximity to the Mexican border, and the University of Arizona's cultural and academic presence. Tucson is a strong fit for clinicians who want urban amenities, a genuine sense of place, and easy access to both desert wilderness and the broader Southwest.
