About the Community

Tucson is Arizona's second-largest city, set against the dramatic backdrop of the Sonoran Desert and surrounded by five mountain ranges — a landscape that draws outdoor enthusiasts year-round with hiking, cycling, rock climbing, and birding in Saguaro National Park and the Santa Catalina Mountains. The city offers a low cost of living relative to other major Southwestern metros, a vibrant arts and food scene shaped by its rich Mexican and Indigenous heritage, and the intellectual energy of a major research university. With 350-plus days of sunshine annually and easy access to both Phoenix and the Mexican border, Tucson delivers a quality of life that is difficult to match in a city of its size.
