The Hospitals of Providence – Trans Mountain Campus in El Paso, Texas is recruiting a Respiratory Care Student Extern (per diem, rotating) to provide hands-on respiratory care to non-critical inpatients across all age groups. This externship is designed for students actively enrolled in — or recent graduates of — an accredited respiratory care education program, offering real clinical experience within a five-hospital regional health system that has served the El Paso community since 1902. Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in and actively pursuing graduation from an accredited respiratory care education program, OR a recent graduate with an active licensure application on file with the Texas Medical Board (TMB)
- Enrolled for credit in the clinical portion of an approved respiratory care program, or eligible for National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentialing as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) and/or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification for healthcare providers — required at time of hire
- Fluent in written and spoken English
