Doctors Medical Center of Modesto is recruiting a full-time PACU Registered Nurse to join its perioperative team at the largest full-service hospital between Stockton and Fresno — a 394-bed acute care facility with a 67-bed inpatient psychiatric unit serving the entire Central Valley. This rotating-shift position places you at the center of a high-acuity postoperative environment supporting a broad surgical service line that includes robotic and minimally invasive surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, cardiology, oncology, and trauma. The role spans a pediatric-through-geriatric patient population and offers direct collaboration with surgeons and anesthesiologists in a facility recognized as the regional referral hub from the Sierras to the Bay Area.

- Postoperative monitoring and management across a pediatric-through-geriatric patient population
- Responsible for physiological status monitoring in the immediate postoperative period; direct communication with surgeons and anesthesiologists for patient management and maintenance of optimum homeostasis
- Addresses psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care within the surgical environment
- Broad surgical service lines supported: cardiology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, women's and children's services, oncology, trauma, and critical/intensive care
- Comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, and emergency/trauma services on campus
- Reports to the Patient Care Services Director, Shift Manager, or designee
Qualifications
- Graduate of a state-approved or accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience in PACU or ICU (within the past 6 months)
- Current California RN licensure required
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications required
- TCAR (Trauma Certified Acute Care RN) required within 12 months of hire or transfer
